Al-Shaibani meets Libyan officials amid concerns for missing Syrians

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani visited Libya to discuss cooperation and security with local officials, including the deputy commander of the Libyan National Army, amid concerns regarding Syrian citizens who have gone missing while attempting to immigrate to Europe from Libya. The families of 200 missing Syrians recently protested in Damascus, seeking information on their loved ones' fates. Al-Shaibani's visit follows the reopening of the Syrian Embassy in Tripoli after a 14-year closure due to the Syrian civil war.
