Saudi Arabia conducting joint investigation into Flydubai incident with UAE

Saudi Arabia conducting joint investigation into Flydubai incident with UAE Saudi Arabia has said that it is conducting a joint investigation with the UAE into the Emirati Flydubai plane that made an emergency landing on its territory on Wednesday after a mid-flight altercation between its pilots. The Saudi interior ministry added in a statement that its initial probe indicates that the co-pilot the flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv had assaulted the captain, consistent with earlier reporting. Relations between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi worsened dramatically this year over the UAE's support for secessionist movements in Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Somalia. But in recent months, the two states have signalled signs of rapproachement amid a renewed offensive from their mutual enemy, the Houthi rebel group in Yemen.
