Ethiopia relocates 20k university students from Tigray amid TPLF fighting, drone strikes

INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY

#EyeOnAfrica - #Ethiopia's education ministry is relocating university students from #Tigray to campuses elsewhere in the country, saying the TPLF was using educational facilities for military purposes. Fighting between the #TPLF and federal forces broke out in early August, including drone strikes in the region. Tigrayan students have asked the ministry for protection, still shaken by the 2020–2022 Tigray war. Based on last year's enrollment data, about 20,000 students will be affected. #FRA
