Top US military officials face lie-detectors in leak investigation: reports The Pentagon has begun subjecting senior military officials to lie-detector tests as part of an investigation into who leaked details about US munitions stockpiles, US media reported. Reports in July said the US was rationing some munitions, particularly missile interceptors, amid concerns over supplies following months of war with Iran. Trump administration officials strongly rejected the claims. President Donald Trump said the US had "a lot of ammunition, different types", while acknowledging that the military would like more of "some of the more sophisticated stuff". The New York Times reported late Friday that around 50 members of the military’s Joint Staff, the Pentagon’s planning and advisory body, were being required to undergo polygraph tests as part of an investigation into the leak.
