PM Shehbaz holds talks with Kyrgyz president in Bishkek; multiple MoUs signed between both countries

Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan signed multiple memoranda of understanding on Tuesday after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov at the presidential palace in Bishkek. Following the signing of the MoUs, PM Shehbaz addressed a press briefing alongside President Zhaparov, thanking him and the government and people of Kyrgyzstan for a “warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to me and my delegation”. He further congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the people of Pakistan on their independence day. Upon his arrival at the Yntymak Ordo, PM Shehbaz was given “a red carpet welcome and a guard of honour”, an official statement by Pakistan’s government said. More to follow
