The US has used "virtually all" munition for surface-to surface weapons (ATACMS), and around half of its global Tomahawk supply, the sources said. ATACMS are crucial to allow accurate strikes from a safe distance, and have been widely used in Ukraine. A person with knowledge of the data said the US Central Command, which oversees operations in the Middle East, had burned through nearly all the land-based missiles it had before the war began, and had to resupply from other areas of the world.
