Pakistan PM and army chief to participate in Switzerland negotiations

<article data-history-node-id="442780" about="https://www.middleeasteye.net/live-blog/live-blog-update/pakistan-pm-and-army-chief-participate-switzerland-negotiations" class="live-blog-update default clearfix"> <h2> <a href="https://www.middleeasteye.net/live-blog/live-blog-update/pakistan-pm-and-army-chief-participate-switzerland-negotiations" rel="bookmark"> <span class="field field-title">Pakistan PM and army chief to participate in Switzerland negotiations</span> </a> </h2> <div class="content"> <div class="field field-field-text"><p>Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir are travelling to Switzerland to participate in technical-level talks linked to the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran.</p> <p>According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, the discussions are scheduled to take place in Burgenstock on 21 June.</p> <p>"As a follow-up to the signing of Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, technical-level talks will be held in Burgenstock, Switzerland, on 21 June," the statement said.</p> <p>It added that Sharif and Munir would take part in the meetings alongside a high-level Pakistani delegation.</p> <p>The talks are expected to focus on the implementation of commitments contained in the agreement and the next steps in the diplomatic process.</p> </div> </div> </article>
